We do need a lower population. The Chinese have a one child policy, so we should, too. The Earth’s population could be halved, peacefully, very quickly. It may not be what we want, but it may be realistic, and nothing is more important than that.

The present use of land is limited by soil alkalization,soil depletion and drought. There really is very little agricultural land remaining. In addition, the formerly rural areas are being converted into residential neighborhoods that preclude efficient farming.

In simple language, there are too damned many people in the world. Religions such as Islam need to deflate their overpopulating doctrines and faulty schemes of conquest.
